The proliferation of cheap, high power laser pointers poses a serious risk to both users and optical sensors in transport, security and defence. In USA Aerospace alone in 2019, there were over 6000 laser-related incidents reported (FAA data shown here).
Working with customers, Optomel has created unique filters that reject specific laser threats whilst retaining high visibility. The Optomel approach allows customers to create more functional, cost-effective laser protection films than is possible with standard laser protection filters.
